Prof.Dr. Essam Sharaf

Chairman

Dr. Essam Sharaf is currently the Professor of Highway Engineering, college of engineering, Cairo University.
Dr Sharaf is the former Minister of Transport of Egypt.
He graduated from Cairo University (1975) and received his Master and Ph.D degrees from Purdue University, USA (1980, 1984, respectively).
He supervised and is supervising the research work of about 70 Master and Ph.D students in Egypt and Arab countries.
He has about 160 scientific papers and reports published in local and international journals and conference proceedings.
His basic research areas are:
Highway Management Systems, Road Safety Management Systems, and Transport Asset Management Systems.
Dr. Sharaf is a member of several scientific and honorary national and international societies.
The most important awards Dr. Sharaf received are:
On the national level:
Three state awards from the Egyptian Academy of Science and Technology;
A presidential medal of excellence from the president of Egypt;
Several awards and certificates of merits from Cairo University.

The distinguished Engineer award, Purdue University, USA, 2005

In 1998, Eng. Marouf co-founded NAMAA Engineering Consultant and was a key player in the process of establishment. Under his directions NAMAA became recognized as one of the premier engineering consultant in Egypt, known for its ability to provide unique solutions for difficult projects.
Eng. Alaa implemented the concept of partnering with clients and delivered successful projects through innovation and collaboration.
Eng. Marouf has more than 24 years of heavy engineering experience. Directed many multifaceted transportation improvement projects, and has been involved in bridges serving highways, transit and traffic improvements. He holds a bachelor in Civil Engineering from Cairo University.

Eng. Abdul Hakim Al-Khalifa

Engineer / Abdul Hakim obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from King Saud University,
a Bachelor’s degree in Military Sciences, a PhD in Saudi-French relations.
The director of maintenance department worked in the operation and maintenance department at AlKharj base.
Director of Procurement Department, Operation and Maintenance Department, Al-Kharj Base.
Director of the Administrative Development Department, Operation and Maintenance Department



Engineer / Saleh obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from King Saud University in 1985,
a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from King Saud University in 1995.
Eng. Saleh worked as an engineer officer in the Ministry of Defense and Aviation for 22 years.

Dr. Hassan Abdelwahab

Dr. Abdelwahab has more than 25 years of experience as a professional civil engineer in the transportation industry and project management including highways, airports, railways, mass transit, bridges, and dry ports projects.
He holds a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida, USA, and is a registered professional engineer in states of Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, USA.
He is certified project and risk management professional from the PMI.
