Project Overview
This project focuses on the development and operation of a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS) for the road network of Riyadh Municipality, aimed at enhancing infrastructure management, data accuracy, and decision-making processes. The GIS platform serves as a central digital framework for organizing, analyzing, and visualizing road network data across the city and its affiliated governorates. NAMAA Consult’s role supports the municipality in strengthening asset management capabilities and improving the efficiency of planning, maintenance, and urban development activities.
Scope of work:
The scope of work includes the design, development, and continuous updating of the GIS platform for the Riyadh road network, covering the following activities:
- Development and operation of a GIS database for the road network of Riyadh City and its affiliated governorates.
- Updating GIS records to reflect newly constructed main roads and secondary streets.
- Modifying and maintaining existing road and sidewalk data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Integrating spatial data to support traffic management, maintenance planning, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Ensuring data consistency, quality control, and alignment with municipal standards and technical requirements.
