Project Overview
This project addresses flood risk management and protection of critical infrastructure through the design of integrated hydraulic and structural solutions. The initiative aims to mitigate flood impacts by controlling surface runoff and wadi flows, enhancing safety, and improving the resilience of transportation and surrounding urban areas against extreme weather events.
Scope of work:
The project scope includes the planning, analysis, and design of comprehensive flood mitigation measures, including:
- Designing flood protection systems such as side protections, diversion channels, and barrier culverts to regulate water flow and reduce flood risks.
- Designing and constructing wadi bridges to safely convey floodwaters while maintaining road connectivity.
- Analyzing rainfall data and hydrological characteristics to assess flood frequency, intensity, and runoff behavior.
- Conducting detailed morphological, geological, and topographical studies to support hydraulic and structural design decisions.
- Applying hydraulic modeling techniques to determine optimal dimensions and capacities for culverts, bridges, and wadis, ensuring effective and sustainable flood control solution
